Grid trading that reads the market first.

Start a grid in one click, or build your own.

How a grid works

Buy below, sell above, repeat

The bot places buy orders below the price and sell orders above it, inside a range. Each fill is answered by an order one grid step away on the other side, so the bot aims to earn from a price that moves back and forth.

Default or Custom

Two ways to start

Grid Default

Reads the market for up to 30 seconds, then sets itself up.

  • You choose the venue, market, amount, and max leverage
  • The bot sets the range, grids, spacing, and direction
  • You see its plan before anything is placed

Custom Grid

Set your own range, grids, and Pro options.

  • Lower and upper price, number of grids, arithmetic or geometric spacing
  • Pro: trigger price, stop-loss and take-profit, trend filter, re-center
  • Estimates update as you type
Built-in safeguards

Limits around every grid

Waits out strong trends

Stops opening new orders while the price trends strongly in one direction.

Leverage with room

Leverage is capped so the liquidation price aims to sit well outside the range.

Stop-loss

Closes the grid when the position loss reaches its limit.

Spacing wider than fees

Each grid step is set wider than the round-trip trading fee.

FAQ

Common questions

What happens when the price leaves my range?

No new grid orders fill outside the range. With re-center on, the bot builds a new grid around the price after it stays outside for 60 seconds, unless the market is trending.

Can I lose money?

Yes. A long trend can build a position that loses more than the grid earns, and fees apply to every fill. Nothing here is a promise of profit.

What fees do I pay?

The venue maker fee on each grid order. Stops and closing a position can use taker orders, which pay the venue taker fee.

What is the difference between Default and Custom?

Default reads the market and picks the range, grids, spacing, direction, and leverage for you. Custom lets you set them, and shows estimates and warnings as you go.

Can Grid Trading withdraw my funds?

No. It uses the same trading-only access as every Tidemaker product: it can place and cancel orders, not withdraw.

When can I start with real funds?

After the grid engine passes paper testing and a small live test. Until then you can set up a grid and run a simulation in the app, and Start reads Live soon.
